Private Club Records’ First Lady aka Rap game’s Tyra Banks Salma Slims checks in while on a fashion visit in London. Following on from our chat at 2017’s SXSW in Austin, Salma details upcoming music including a project entitled ‘The Left Out EP’ and a track with Raven Felix which has Wiz Khalifa on the hook.

Salma looks back on how she started freestyling during school lunches, then later being in a girl group, to eventually how Private Club Records came about back when she lived in ATL. Settling in an LA mansion with hubby 24hrs, Salma flaunts her natural flare for fashion and expresses her excitement in moving forward in that industry with her own merch.

“I don’t understand how people don’t have sauce…
when you wake up, you just gotta drip.”

Pushing female empowerment in her music has been evident and aggressive at times, but after taking some time out to listen to the 90’s R&B females like Brandy and Monica, Salma is excited to showcase her vulnerable side which she feels will enable her audience to connect with her on another level. Salma also admits that she will not back down from a rap beef should it ever come to one!
