Kierra Luv is a shy young lady in the wings, but when the stage is set and the mic is on, she is ready to deliver in an instant. Fresh off the release of her debut mixtape ‘Take It or Leave It’, Kierra explains the energy and story behind the title, replacing what was initially planned to be ‘Visionary’, which she is now reserving for her eventual album. The alter-ego rapper describes how she is often susceptible to getting wound up in her own emotions while up thinking at night, resulting in that dreaded writers block. This in fact is what makes her a great freestyler, because it eliminates the hesitation brought on by overthinking.

Kierra Luv elaborates on other key components to nailing a freestyle, pointing out admirable characteristics from Juice WRLD and Eminem. Despite the stigma she feels of people in general disliking “girl rappers”, the unapologetic Rapper continues to boost her own confidence with the mastering of hooks, such as her proudest one yet in ‘Work It Out’ and self-engineering in her home studio set up.

Aside from her link-up with Tory Lanez and 10K label mates Iann Dior and Trippie Redd, Luv is not too set on depending on features, no matter how far down the line her career she is.
